Zuper snags $13M for intelligent field management services

Seattle-based Zuper, a productivity tools software creator for service companies and their field workers, raised a $13 million Series A round led by FUSE. Other participants in the round included Sequoia Capital India, alongside existing investors Prime Venture Partners and HubSpot.

Friday’s round brings Zuper’s total funding raised to date to just over $14 million.

Disgruntled by a lack of cohesiveness in the customer engagement realm of residential and commercial service work, Anand Subbaraj founded Zuper in 2016. Subbaraj and his team built the proptech as a means of connecting the various departments of field servicing – from work order management to AI powered dispatching, invoicing and drag & drop scheduling.

Tools now in hand for fieldworkers, Zuper also features customer relationship products to both attract and retain long term clients. According to Zuper, services combined, users and businesses can save at least 20 hours per user and improve customer satisfaction by more than 50%.

“The shift from legacy to digital processes continues to disrupt every category, including the multi-billion dollar field service management industry,” said Shailesh Lakhani, MD, Sequoia India. “We see Zuper’s competitive market position and value proposition only increasing as service businesses continue to adopt digital-based solutions.”

Friday’s raise arrives just three weeks after the proptech announced its frenzied growth in 2021. Over the last 12 months, Zuper grew its annualized recurring revenue (ARR) by 7X year-over-year and achieved 140% net revenue retention. The proptech also onboarded more than 100 new customers across North America, APAC and EMEA while tripling the size of its team.

To top it off, Zuper also expanded its platform with 250+ features and completed 18 new integrations with companied like Salesforce, Oracle Netsuite and Quickbooks.

“We see significant opportunities for Zuper to continue delivering tangible ROI for its customers,” Carter added.

Zuper said it plans to allocate its new round of funding towards investing in product leadership, expanding its number of partners and investing in sales and marketing.

The proptech had previously partnered with Zoho, an enterprise software creator for productivity tools, and A2Z Cloud, a UK-based cloud consulting company that helps businesses with digital transformations.
