Foresite partners with Lilt to break down language barriers in construction

Foresite aims to eliminate safety issues for construction workers through this technology

Foresite Technology Solutions, a construction-focused SaaS company, today announced partnering with global experience platform Lilt to integrate multilingual content into its platform, according to a press release.

Through this partnership Foresite aims to eliminate safety issues for construction workers which stem from communication errors. The company pointed to a 2019 study conducted by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, which found 42% of construction industry employers “rely heavily on employees for whom English is a second or third language,” highlighting this demand.

Apart from understanding safety hazards, Foresite says that incorporating multilingual content onto its platform will help upskill construction workers and increase productivity.

“From the start, we envisioned Foresite as the open platform of choice, connecting strategic partners to drive innovation for our customers. Our partnership with Lilt highlights how we use leading technology partners, such as Lilt, to improve the construction industry labor force with multilingual upskilling content,” said John Gillett, founder and CEO of Foresite.

Lilt’s technology combines the expertise of experienced linguists, and AI to translate websites, product manuals, compliance materials, technical documentation and e-learning content to provide end-to-end multilingual support to global enterprises.

The company says its AI and automation-enabled technology is used by enterprise customers across the construction industry, claiming that it reduces the margin of error in communication services and enables translators to maintain consistency.

“Foresite recognizes that the elimination of language barriers reduces risk, increases safety, and empowers employees. We started Lilt to increase access to opportunity for all, and we’re inspired to join Foresite in this important work for the construction industry.” stated Spence Green, Lilt CEO, in the release.
